The owner wanted side access to rear fields and storage capabilities for an RV. In addition, the owner wanted to terrace the side hill for planting and to help retain the hill beneath their home. Several retaining walls with custom drainage were install using engineered blocking systems. WCI also designed a stairs system utilizing retaining wall techniques to improve access while adding additional hill holding capabilities The final phase of construction included landscaping and the addition of pavers to the treads of the stairs that matched the cobblestone pattern used in the patio that surrounds the pool.

Custom Deck Design and Construction

  • Custom Deck Construction
  • Window Installation
  • Structural Renovation

Three decks on three levels represent almost 2,000 sq. ft. of decking.  The owner specified fifty year materials and the creation of custom railings that met all codes, yet held visual obstruction to a minimum.

Errors in the original construction led to significant water damage to the entire south side of this structure as well as causing the open roof to sage significantly.  WCI removed and replaced all siding, shear wall materials, and damaged framing members.  WCI designed and installed a new supporting beam across the open span and integrated it into the design in a manner that makes it appear that it was part of the original structure.  New windows were installed and the custom electronic metal shutter system reinstalled while the family was able to continue to live in the home.
